Carla L. S. Jimison

Carla Louise Shurtliff Jimison was born in 1960. She has perfected a realist approach as an oil painter and printmaker, becoming versed in the expression of figurative themes, interior views, and still-life subjects related to the visionary-spiritualist themes for which she is better known today. 

Jimison attended Brigham Young University and earned a B.F.A. Today she is working as a full time member of the art faculty at BYU Idaho. A house of Glory (1997) is an example of her work and is a permanent piece of the Springville Museum of Art.
