Colleen K. P. Howe

Colleen K. Pope Howe was born in American Fork, Utah in 1953. Howe is an oil painter and pastellist. She paints landscapes and equine art. She lives in Sandy, Utah.

Howe studied painting at the University of Utah, and at Brigham Young University. She is also a member of the Intermountain Society of Artists.

Her work has won numerous awards including: First Place - Layton Arts Festival, August 2004; Diane Townsend Award - Pastel Society of the Northwest International Exhibit, June 2003; and First Place - Pastel Society of Utah statewide exhibition, Red Butte Gardens, November 1999.

Colleen K. Pope Howe (1953-), of Sandy, Utah, is an oil painter and pastellist. A member of the Intermountain Society of Artists, Howe was born in American Fork, Utah, and studied at Brigham Young University. She is a talented tonalist.

Statement 
Paintings that are sensitively created add to the value of our lives. Painting is a language of expression that can affect each of us in a positive and meaningful way.
