Thelma B. Parsons

Thelma Bagnell Parsons was born in Coalville, Utah in 1922. She is a realist watercolorist and oil painter who specializes in landscapes and florals. She lives in Murray, Utah and in Hawaii.

After her family moved to Bountiful, LeConte Stewart encouraged her to follow her artistic interests. After earning a BFA from the University of Utah, she married, raised four children, and continued to paint. She is a member of the Utah Watercolor Society.

Morning at Capitol Reef (1983) is part of the Springville Museum of Art permanent collection. Her recent interest is a series of paintings of flowers in watercolor. Hawaiian Hibiscus (2001) andHollyhocks (1999) were exhibited in spring salon of the Springville Museum of Art.
