Software

Icons for Photoshop, Illustrator, Minitab, Maya, SPSS, and SibeliusOur computers have over 300 software titles available for web and graphic design, media editing, statistical analysis, 3D modeling, and more.

You can access many of these applications remotely on your mobile device or home computer.

Students can get free Microsoft software or Adobe Creative Cloud software through the Office of Software Licensing. Installation assistance is available from our student workers.

Scanners

Flatbed scanners are available in each of our computer labs. In the Knowledge Commons, you can also find scanners for stacks of pages, books, film, microfilm, and large format items (up to 36" wide).

Students can check out a variety of equipment from the Student Computing Services desk on Level 2 of the Marriott Library.

Technology Assistance

 Student workers in our computer labs can assist with a variety of issues, including setting up mobile devices for UConnect and UMail, using the software in our labs, printing and scanning, and other technical issues you come across at the university.

Classrooms & Study Rooms

Room 1110 Mac teaching labWe support the computers and media equipment in the library's classrooms, teaching labs, and study rooms. Most of the study rooms have an LCD monitor for connecting a laptop. Most are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to groups, while a few can be scheduled in advance.

Poster Printing & 3D Printing

We offer high quality color poster printing in sizes up to 42" wide, at $3 per square foot for students.

We also offer powder and plastic 3D printing at a reduced price to students. Our 3D scanner allows you to create a computer model of a physical object.
