Academic Librarian PositionsNone
Benefited Staff Positions
Assists in the ordering and preparation of various library materials, which will be available for staff or the general library population. The position manages all orders for Special Collections, including rare materials, helps with the acquisitions of DDA program materials, orders and processes materials from foreign vendors, and works with assigned subject selectors to order and pay for books they wish to acquire.
Please note: For the Marriott Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked, part-time employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only, unless an exception is granted. Please contact Jordan Waite for questions about this policy.
Audio Video Student Technician
This position regularly requires the part-time staff member to assist on-going departmental projects. Projects include working with Media Studios staff to film, record, and edit on-going projects. The position will also help create new projects by consulting and collaborating with students, staff and faculty.
The position will spend two hours per week helping train students using the One Button Studio.
User Experience Developer
Become part of the J. Willard Marriott Library User Experience and Web Development team. The successful candidate will be self motivated, able to work as part of a team as well as independently, and have a background in user focused design and development. This position will work collaboratively with the Marriott Library department of designers, developers, and UX experts to utilize user-centered design skills in a higher education professional setting.
Middle East Collection Cataloging Assistant
This position would work on improving the Library's catalog records for Middle East materials. The position would report to the Lead Cataloger in the Marriott Library. Ability to read Arabic or Persian is required.
Do you have a love of Utah history, Mormon history, and/or the history of the West? If so, this position is perfect for you. As a Photograph Processor in Multimedia Archives, you will assist in the arrangement, description, and digitization of photograph collections related to these histories. You be part of a team dedicated to preserving these important histories.
The successfully hired candidate will be expected to continue their employment for a minimum of two semesters.
