Over 500 fully processed primary archival collections preserving the institutional history of the University of Utah available for institutional and public patron use, supplemented by hard-copy and online finding aids. Items include:
- Historical Records of Administrative and Academic Units
- Presidential Papers
- Minutes of the Board of Trustees and Academic Senate

Records Management
- Over 30,000 cubic feet of records and over 17,000 campus architectural drawings.
Responsibilities
- Assists in managing records essential to ensuring that internal needs and legal requirements of the University of Utah are fulfilled
- Assists departments to adhere to established record keeping practices, including:
- Utah State General Retention Schedule
- American Medical Association
- American Association of Collegiate
- Registrars and Admissions Officers
and other Federal agencies retention guidelines
- Advises on such topics as records reformatting, destruction, and storage
