Print and Journal

The Print and Journal Collections consist of monographs, serials, maps, newspapers, University of Utah publications, theses and dissertations, Clipping Files, and Vertical Files. While the Print and Journal Department holdings contains material on a wide variety of subjects, the collection historically focuses on Western Americana, Utah, and the Rocky Mountain West, with emphasis on the Mormon Church and regional history, the University of Utah, archaeology, regional religions, ethnic groups, transportation, mining and mineral resources, and recreation.

Clipping Files contain newspaper articles clipped from local and national newspapers bearing on Utah and regional history and events.

Vertical Files consist of flyers, articles, pamphlets, brochures, announcements and other ephemera, with a focus on Utah and the West.
