Marriott Library Faculty Interview —What to Expect

This overview is meant to provide you with a basic idea of what to expect during a full day on-campus interview. You will receive a customized, detailed agenda closer to your interview date. To help you fully prepare for your visit, the library’s Assistant Dean for DEI/HR will schedule a phone conversation with you to go over the agenda and answer your questions. The final agenda may include additional activities such as meetings with your Associate Dean, department head, departmental colleagues, and/or direct reports.

We will host you for a dinner the evening before your interview and provide meals and breaks throughout on the day of your interview. We will also provide transportation to the library and either provide or reimburse transportation for the rest of your visit. We typically start the interview day by picking you up at your hotel around 8:00am and giving you a tour of the library starting around 8:30. We typically end the interview day by about 4:00-4:30pm.

The activities described below are meant to give both you and the library multiple opportunities to gather information. We recognize that interviewing is a two-way process, and we want you to learn as much as you can about us. We recommend coming prepared with questions to ask of everyone you meet with.
